Open position: Director of Outreach and Education for the Occupational Health Clinical Center

The Occupational Health Clinical Center (OHCC) in Syracuse, NY is currently looking for a Director of Outreach and Education. For more than 25 years the OHCC has been committed to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of work related illnesses and injuries as part of a statewide network of occupational health clinics. The OHCC has striven to reduce workplace hazards by focusing on empowering and collaborating with workers and other organizations that serve workers.
As a part of a dynamic, collaborative multi-disciplinary team, the Outreach and Education Director’s primary duties are to design, implement and evaluate outreach and education activities to cover a 26 county region. The Outreach and Education Director will supervise two regional outreach and education coordinators in the North Country and the Southern Tier. The position requires Education and Outreach Director to develop and distribute educational materials, elevate the public profile of OHCC, and engage in leadership through the development of campaigns, public commentary, preventive education, report writing and event planning.  This position offers the opportunity to shape the activities which are vital to OHCC’s mission to remain responsive to the occupational health challenges faced by today’s working population.
